Jianfen Chen, Ph.D.

I'm Jianfen Chen (she/her/hers),  an assistant professor of Technical Communication in the College of Liberal Arts at Towson University.

 

As a researcher and communicator with a passion for bridging the gap between complex ideas and diverse audiences, my work explores the intersection of:

• Technical and Professional Communication: 

• Digital Rhetoric

• Public Health Rhetoric

• Environmental Risk Communication

• Translation and Localization

My research has been published in journals like Technical Communication Quarterly, Computers and Composition, IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, Programmatic Perspectives, and an edited book titled Global Rhetorics of Science. More on CV.
