My research focuses on the intersection of public health rhetoric, technical and professional communication, environmental rhetoric, and digital rhetoric. I employ a critical, rhetorical lens and qualitative research methods to explore a wide range of topics, including
-
the rhetorical strategies of public health experts during the COVID-19 pandemic
-
cultural considerations in interface design
-
the lived experiences of international students during the pandemic
-
the communication of PM 2.5 risks in China
-
the rhetoric of identities and narratives in environmental documentaries
-
the potential of digital rhetoric to build inclusive social communities and advocate for social justice-oriented digital design.
My research demonstrates my dedication to supporting under-resourced and underrepresented populations using my knowledge and experience in technical and professional communication research.
